Heisman Watch Week 8

No time for an intro, we got work to do. Let's get started.

10. CeeDee Lamb, Oklahoma (Last Week: 9)- Oklahoma's star wideout slips a spot after a so-so performance in Week 7. Lamb had three catches for 71 yards and 1 rush for 9 yards as Oklahoma kept their undefeated season hopes alive.

9. Justin Herbert, Oregon (Last Week: 10)- Herbert didn't have the prettiest game against #25 Washington, but at least he and the Ducks picked up a huge conference win. The Ducks needed this badly to stay in the CFP race and Herbert can use this win to fuel his Heisman campaign. In terms of stats, Herbert threw four touchdown passes with zero picks and has 1,882 yards on the season thus far.

8. Chuba Hubbard, Oklahoma State (Last Week: 8)- Oklahoma State may have lost to Baylor, but Hubbard continued to impress. On 32 carries, Hubbard ran for 171 yards (5.3 yards per carry) and two scores.

7. J.K. Dobbins, Ohio State (Last Week: 7)-  Buckeye fans, I can understand you being upset about Dobbins not being in the top five, but rest assured that he's very close. In Ohio State's 52-3 beatdown of Northwestern, Dobbins totaled 151 offensive yards and three scores.

6. Trevor Lawrence, Clemson (Last Week: 6)- Lawrence's Heisman campaign seems pretty dead, but he's still racking up numbers. Against Louisville, the sophomore QB went 20 of 29 for 233 yards and three scores.

5. Justin Fields, Ohio State (Last Week: 5)- Fields and the Buckeyes continue to run roughshod over everyone they play. Just remember: he's only thrown one interception thus far. If he doesn't make it to New York, I will genuinely be stunned.

4. Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin (Last Week: 4)- Wisconsin may have suffered a huge upset at the hands of Illinois, but that was through no fault of their star back. Taylor ran for 132 yards and one score on 28 carries.

3. Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama (Last Week: 3)- Tagovailoa exited 'Bama's Week 8 game in the second quarter due to a high ankle sprain. That will certainly put a damper in his so far fiery Heisman campaign, and we hope it doesn't affect the rest of his season.

2. Joe Burrow, LSU (Last Week: 2)- Burrow threw four touchdowns against Mississipi State to bring his yearly total to 29. If he continues to play like this, it's hard to see him not eventually overtaking Jalen Hurts.

1. Jalen Hurts, Oklahoma (Last Week: 1)- Hurts only threw 17 passes against West Virginia, but that's all it took. He completed 16 of those passes for 316 yards and three scores. He also added 75 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, giving him 30 total scores for the season.

Thanks for reading everyone.
