Heisman Watch Week 6

We're almost there folks, I can feel it. Let's get started.

As much as I wanted to start trimming the list of candidates this week, I couldn't bring myself to shut out Lamb and Hubbard just yet. That being said, we do have to bid farewell to a pair of running backs in Travis Etienne and D'Andre Swift.

10. CeeDee Lamb, Oklahoma (Last Week: NR)- After an appearance on the honorable mentions, Lamb is able to crack our top ten. Surprisingly, he does so after a so-so performance against Kansas. Yes, he only caught 2 passes for 25 yards, but one was for a touchdown.

9. Chuba Hubbard, Oklahoma State (Last Week: NR)- The Oklahoma State Cowboys may have lost their Week 6 matchup to Texas Tech, but Hubbard still ran for 156 yards and three touchdowns.

8. J.K. Dobbins, Ohio State (Last Week: 8)- Dobbins continues to quietly put up big numbers and be the Heisman dark horse. Against Michigan State, the star back ran for 172 yards and one score on 24 carries.

7. Trevor Lawrence, Clemson (Last Week: 7)- Lawrence and the Clemson Tigers did not play in Week 6.

6. Sam Ehlinger, Texas (Last Week: 6)- Texas may have beaten West Virginia, but Ehlinger did not have a great game.

5. Justin Fields, Ohio State (Last Week: 5)- I know it's still early in the season, but I would be shocked if Fields doesn't at least finish in the top five in this year's Heisman race. That may seem like a bold statement, but that's how well Fields has been playing. Against the Spartans in Columbus, Fields threw for 206 yards and two scores while also running for 61 yards and a third score.

4. Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin (Last Week: 4)- The Badgers star had another dazzling display in Wisconsin's 48-0 dismantling of Kent State. In just 19 carries, Taylor ran for 186 yards and four scores. He also caught three passes (he's become a lot more involved in the receiving game this year) for 29 yards and one touchdown.

3. Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama (Last Week: 2)- Tua and the Crimson Tide did not play in Week 6.

2. Joe Burrow, LSU (Last Week: 3)- The Tigers absolutely torched the Utah State Aggies behind another breathtaking performance by Burrow. The senior completed 27 of his 38 passes for 344 yards and five touchdowns. If he keeps this up, he may take #1 on our Heisman watch soon.

1. Jalen Hurts, Oklahoma (Last Week: 1)- His teammate may have just entered the top ten,  but Hurts is still #1. In the Sooners' 35 point win against Kansas, the former Alabama star ran for 56 yards and two touchdowns while also throwing for 228 yards and another two scores.

Thanks for reading everyone.
